Michael Jordan's Agent David Falk: 'I Don't Think This Era Has Nearly Talents As Michael Jordan's Era'

Comparisons will always be hateful but they are inevitable for some people. This year we saw how everybody started talking about the greatest player of all time, comparing LeBron James to Michael Jordan more than ever, with some making the case for the King and others doing the same for His Airness.

Well, some people took those comparisons to the next level and started comparing more than players. Recently, Jordan's agent David Falk compared MJ's era to today's NBA, claiming that the current league has nothing to do with what Jordan lived in the 80s and 90s. He said nobody in today's NBA can compare with Michael, as the talent isn't as deep as it was during Jordan's best days in the league.

"I don't think the depth of talent today is nearly as deep as it was in Michael's era," he said in a recent interview, naming the reasons why this isn't right.

Says there’s only about 4 or 5 superstars today (25 superstars in MJ’s era)

• Says MJ would average 60 PPG on 75% shooting in today’s era

• Says MJ would never team up with Magic & Bird

To be fair, Falk has a valid point there. The league doesn't have as many stars as it had in the past. The 80s and 90s saw a lot of great players walk around the league trying to win 'ships. Now it's not the same, it's not even the same as it was during the 2000s, arguably the greatest and most competitive era in the NBA. It's clear that people will try to say and do everything to make the case for their favorite players but it's hard to disagree with Falk on this one.
