Not long after Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and Jay Mohr’s relationship was confirmed, social media sleuths unearthed some controversial tweets that put him in the spotlight.

The ‘Jerry Maguire’ star, who was dating Buss since 2017, found himself at the receiving end of fans on social media when one of them discovered tweets that had him use the N-Word several times.

Some of the tweets weren’t deleted, per a Heavy report. In 2016, Mohr responded to a message saying:

“This n**** just got called corny.”

Below are a few more:

Report: (VIEWERS DISCRETION IS ADVISED ) Lakers fans are angry and questioning why Jeanie Buss the President of the Los Angeles Lakers is dating someone who publicly states racial slurs towards black people Not a good look …. Is there serious trouble in LA ?

At the time of writing, there has been no comment from either Mohr or Buss.

Jeanie Buss And Jay Mohr Have Been Together Since 2017

Both Buss and Mohr have been building an admirable relationship since 2017, and news of their engagement was made official by TMZ Sports.

The duo was also very public about their relationship sharing some of their good memories on social media. Per the news outlet:

TMZ Sports has confirmed … the couple of several years recently took their relationship to the next level after the comedian got on one knee and proposed. We’re told Buss and Mohr — who bonded over sports and comedy — are ecstatic about how their love has developed over time … and they’re excited to spend the rest of their lives together.

The clues were there — Jeanie has been spotted wearing a ring on that finger recently … and sources close to the couple confirmed they are, in fact, engaged. Jeanie and Jay started “quietly” dating back in 2017 … and the two frequently attended Laker games together.

The tweets certainly put Mohr in a world of trouble, especially with the league cracking down on racial slurs. It remains to be seen if these have any repercussions on Buss in the days to come.
