The Golden State Warriors are going through their roughest patch of the season yet. The team has dropped consecutive games by over 30 points and is without Stephen Curry, whose importance to the Warriors is being highlighted with every abject performance without him.

The team lost to the Brooklyn Nets tonight, trailing 41-91 at halftime. Yesterday, the team faced the other team in New York when they tangled with the Knicks and were blown out as well. Curry was seen talking and laughing with Jordan Poole on the bench during the loss, making fans wonder what the pair were talking about

Curry has done everything to defy aging and play at the highest level of his career since the 2015-16 season.  The Warriors are lackluster without him and will count the days until he can get back on the court,


A Not-So-Golden Year For The Warriors?

The Warriors simply haven’t been good enough as a team, even with Curry playing. The team has had inconsistent defense across their lineups and there seems to be a clear disconnect between the veterans and the young players, in terms of what they’re providing on the court.

Trade for more veteran depth is crucial for Golden State if they want to maximize this year. Retaining their title might be harder than expected, but they have a real shot at it if they make the right roster moves this winter. Adding a big man or reinforcing their forward depth might be the way to go.
