A lot of people genuinely have funny photos of themselves from their childhood. There is no doubt that when you’re a kid, it’s almost as if you’re supposed to be a little silly when it comes to photos. That doesn’t change if the kid eventually becomes an NBA MVP.

Instagram page BestHoops has posted a graphic featuring photos of the last 12 NBA MVPs from their childhoods, with the caption asking fans which of them was the best. Many people reacted to the childhood photos of these superstar players and weighed in on which one of them had the best photo. Commenters joked about the appearances of the former NBA MVPs and made guesses about how they acted when they were children.

There is no doubt that the fans had a lot of fun with this graphic, and it seems as though many enjoyed the silly nature of these photos. The MVPs in the graphic have certainly put in a lot of hard work throughout their early lives to get to the level that they reached in the NBA. However, it’s honestly crazy to think about how some of the NBA’s leading players over the last decade were once regular children who enjoyed basketball.

A lot can change throughout the course of a basketball player’s career. As kids, lots of people who play basketball think that they could make it at the highest level, though most of the time those are just daydreams. Not everyone is destined to become a professional athlete, and that’s okay. However, even the MVPs of the league started from somewhere as children and ended up persevering. Hard work does pay off, and there are other children with dreams out there who will eventually become MVPs in the NBA.
