NBA Twitter In Splits As Klay Thompson Posts Hilarious Spongebob Meme On Social Media

The Golden State Warriors last season certainly showed why they were perhaps one of the best teams to ever play in the NBA. Despite the odds being heavily stacked against them, the Warriors showed up in the playoffs. Given the championship experience they had, the Dubs stepped up in the post-season and dismantled their opposition to win their 4th title in 7 years.

This was certainly the perfect return possible for Klay Thompson. After missing two consecutive seasons due to long-term injuries, many doubted whether Thompson would be back in full health or not. But to everyone's delight, the guard was back in full health. While Thompson did struggle to hit his peak form, given the lack of play he had for the past three years, his performance in the Warriors squad was commendable, to say the least.

After their championship win, it seems like the team is taking much-needed time off the court. Thompson is certainly not an exception to this. From posting pictures from the Bahamas or sharing memes, the 4-time champion is certainly having the time of his life right now.

Recently, a Klay meme has been doing rounds. With multiple pictures of Thompson's face being photoshopped to Spongebob's iconic character Patrick, the KlayTrick memes have been all the rage.

Thompson surely sent NBA Twitter in a frenzy as he posted an incredible KlayTrick meme on his social media.

Multiple fans reacted to Thompson posting this picture.

NBA fans certainly were having a field day with Klay's recent meme. It is certainly fun seeing that players are willing to show their goofy side as well.

While Klay and Co. might be enjoying their time off right now, they will have a massive challenge for their title defense in the 2022-23 season. With teams like the Los Angeles Clippers returning to full strength and a player like Kevin Durant joining another contender, there will be many teams who will be confident to challenge the Dubs. Can the Warriors defend their title next season?
