Patrick Beverley is feeling himself again this season. After getting traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the controversial guard has helped the T-Wolves compete in the Western Conference, recovering his best form and playing that annoying defense that earned him criticism and respect alike.

He’s faced incredible players during his career, beefing with some of them, like Russell Westbrook. Still, Bev knows to give credit to whoever deserves it but never puts himself down against any opponent.

In recent days, he talked about the toughest player he’s had to guard in the league, picking Luka Doncic.

“Easy. So far it’s been Luka Doncic,” he said.

Before that, Bev had explained that Luka being physical and flopping at the same time was a problem for defenders

“His intelligence. He’s physical as f*** and flops at the same time, which is the same thing I do…. Swipe at me, “oh he’s trying to kill me ref, get him, he’s trying to kill me.”

However, after his words saw the light, Pat replied, giving himself some flowers, stating that he’s back and can go against anybody on the court.

“Not this Year, got my Lick Back,” Beverley quoted tweeted a statement shared by Legion Hoops.

The former Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers guard has made a lot of noise in the NBA. Even though he’s been trolled for his performances and words, it’s pretty clear that he does a good job bothering rivals, as he did with Russell Westbrook and others.

In recent days, he clashed with Luka, trying to get under the Slovenian’s skin. In the end, Luka had the last laugh, getting the win, waving at Beverley after the Mavs defeated the Timberwolves. Still, Doncic only dropped 15 points that night, which confirmed that Beverley was a difficult rival for him.
