Richard Jefferson Sparks A Big Debate: “I Love Super Teams! 80’s Celtics And Lakers, 90’s Bulls, Warriors 17-19 And Now Lakers And Nets.”

Superteams always create big debates around the NBA. Some fans say it’s bad for the competition, while others don’t have a problem, especially if their teams put together big names.

Richard Jefferson belongs to the second group, and he’s actually celebrating stars joining others to create big teams. It happened last season with the Brooklyn Nets, and this offseason, the Lakers emulated what the Nets did, landing Russell Westbrook to help LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

This isn’t a problem for RJ, and he took to Twitter to celebrate all the great squads we’ve seen since the 80s.

“I love Super Teams!! 80’s Celtics and Lakers, 90’s Bulls, Warriors 17-19 and now Lakers and Nets. Letssss goooo,” Jefferson wrote on Twitter.

Fans were quick to reply, explaining their point of view, agreeing and disagreeing with the former player-turned-analyst.

In the end, RJ made it clear he’s not the one to blame for this, and if fans don’t like it, that’s just too bad.

This will always spark different reactions from fans. Still, whether you like it or not, superteams won’t stop happening in the league. It happened before, it’s happening now, and it’ll happen again.
