We have seen time and time again in NBA history that no one can ultimately win it all by themselves. You need a co-star by your side to reach the top of the mountain, and we have seen a lot of great duos in the league over the years.

Shaquille O’Neal was a part of a few formidable duos during his time in the NBA, with the likes of Penny Hardaway and Dwyane Wade, but it is his time with Kobe Bryant that really stands out. They won 3 championships together to establish themselves as one of the greatest duos of all time, and Shaq believes they are the greatest, as he shared our graphic on the greatest duos ever.

NBA fans debated on the topic, and one duo, in particular, did seem to come out on top.

“kobe & shaq are forever the best duo in NBA history, imagine if they played their whole careers together, Kobe has atleast 6 rings and the whole narrative of GoAT is turned upside down.”

“Jordan & Pippin TWO 3-peats”

“Kareem and Magic the best duo of all time and that’s a fact “

“Has to be no doubt Kobe and Shaq best duo of all time”

“We all know its MJ and Pip”

“Best Shaq and Kobe- Most successfull-MJ Pippen”

“Curry & Klay for sure”

“This answer is easy. While every duo on here is more than legendary, nothing beats Magic and The Captain. Showtime all day!”

“Bulls would’ve won 7 or 8 maybe 9 , 10 in a row if Mj didn’t retire .. Bulls by a landslide”

“Bron & Dwade”

“The Russell and K you can see the number of no question about it !”

“Most Dominant player of all time with a Jordan Equivalent? All biased-ness aside, Shaq and Kobe. Defense in the paint and on the perimeter. Offense literally unstoppable. Kazam and Mamba all day.”

“Bill and Cousy”

“Sorry shaq.. big fan of u.. but I can’t bet against the goat jordan”

“Nothing beats shaq and Kobe”

“Lebron and Kyrie “

“Kareem n magic both arguably top 5 so them”

“Jordan and Pippen, would’ve been 8 straight had Jordan not retired! “

“MJ and Pippen, not betting against any team with MJ on it. Shaq and Kobe 2nd and the rest not even in the discussion.”

“Kareem and Magic. Only photo with 2 top 10 players all time in it. I personally have Magic #3 all time and Kareem #4.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were what many went with here, and one can only wonder if they would have been able to win 8 in a row if MJ hadn’t retired in between. They are all great duos, though, and deserve a lot of respect for what they’ve achieved.

O’Neal has posted a lot of Fadeaway World content on his Instagram feed, Instagram Stories, and Twitter in recent times. We are thankful for that, and we appreciate that a Hall of Famer, the most dominant player ever and one of the greatest players in NBA history, is using his platform to share our content.

Bill Russell Played A Big Part In Ending The Beef Between Shaquille O’Neal And Kobe Bryant

Just like you wonder how much more the Jordan-Pippen pairing could have won, the same goes for Shaq and Kobe. While the two enjoyed tremendous success together, they clashed an awful lot behind the scenes, and it led to the Los Angeles Lakers eventually parting ways with Shaq in 2004.

The beef wouldn’t end with his departure, though, and it would take over a decade for the two to finally settle their differences. O’Neal once revealed that Bill Russell played a big part in that, as he told Shaq that he should bury the hatchet. It was very good advice, and it was great to see the two of them back on good terms.
