Anthony Davis is one of the best centers in the game today, and he has been carrying the Los Angeles Lakers on both ends of the floor. He has always been one of the best defensive players in the league, and now he is playing like an MVP on the offensive side of the ball. Currently, Anthony Davis is averaging 27.7 PPG, 12.4 RPG, and 2.2 BPG.

Shaquille O’Neal has recently commented on Anthony Davis’ recent play, claiming that the big man is “putting up numbers”. He added that he would “continue to stay on Anthony Davis however, and this makes sense since Shaquille O’Neal usually gives big men tough love to try and motivate them. Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports relayed the news.

It was one point in his career, I think he was with in New Orleans, we were saying that in two years he’s going to be the best player in the league. He’s had a lot of injuries. But look, they’re playing well. Well, he went to LA the first year, did what he supposed to do. They won a championship, a bubble championship. And when you live in LA, that’s what we expect. We expect championship.

So he’s playing well now. He’s putting up numbers now. Only unfortunate thing about his run is– especially the other day, they won 8 out of 10 games. They were still in– I think, 12, 13 place. So hopefully, they make the playoffs, and they make a run for it. But I’m a Anthony Davis fan and I will continue to stay on him.

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers have been good as of late, and it remains to be seen if they make the playoffs. With Anthony Davis playing at this level, they will have a chance to win against any team on any given night.

Shaquille O’Neal Thinks Anthony Davis Should Be The No. 1 Option For The Los Angeles Lakers

Shaquille O’Neal has previously claimed that Anthony Davis is the player that needs to be the No. 1 option for the Los Angeles Lakers. There’s no doubt that he has been right, as the team has done a lot better after playing through Anthony Davis.

“LeBron, he handles the ball a lot. Of course, when he’s not there, everybody’s gonna touch it, everybody’s gonna [touch] it and AD becomes the No. 1 source, the No. 1 go-to-guy. We’ve been saying for the last two years he should be the No. 1 go-to guy, anyway. LeBron is gonna be LeBron but AD should demand the ball, take high-percentage shots and not always take a backseat to LeBron. LeBron is not there, he’s the guy. He’s asking the ball, he’s getting the ball, he’s taking high-percentage shots and his numbers are showing. The question is can he do that with LeBron in the game?”

Hopefully, we see Anthony Davis bring the Los Angeles Lakers back to the playoffs. There’s no doubt that the team has the ability to get there, but the key is Anthony Davis dominating every night. In fact, some people believe he could end up as the 2022-23 MVP.

There is some potential that the Los Angeles Lakers will make a trade prior to this season’s trade deadline. Hopefully, we see them make a deal, as Anthony Davis’ recent play suggests that the team should go all-in and build around the big man.
