The entire NBA community is currently focused on one person – Kyrie Irving. Irving has always built a reputation as someone who is incredibly unpredictable, and there is no way for fans to guess what he may do next.

Kyrie Irving proved that after putting in a trade request ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline. Following the trade request, the Nets quickly received several offers for him, and the organization chose the Dallas Mavericks as Kyrie’s next destination

Kyrie being traded to the Mavericks brought the Brooklyn Nets‘ original Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden one step closer to completely blowing up.

Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, And James Harden’s Journey With The Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn Nets fans originally saw hopes of winning an NBA Championship back in 2019 when Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving joined forces to play on the same team. Later in 2021, the Nets also traded for James Harden, which completed the formation of a dominant Big 3 at the time.

While the Big 3 was expected to lead the Nets to multiple NBA Championships, they couldn’t even reach the NBA Finals before things started to break down.

– June 2019: Kyrie and KD commit to signing in Brooklyn

– January 2021: James Harden traded to Brooklyn

– February 2022: James Harden traded to Philadelphia

– February 2023: Kyrie Irving traded to Dallas

What’s next for KD?

With Harden getting out of Brooklyn last year and Kyrie doing the same this year, only Durant remains on the same. While Durant is a phenomenal player and has proven that on multiple occasions this season, he has certainly felt betrayed by Kyrie’s actions.

As a result, many expect Durant to be the next player to request for a trade. After all, the Slim Reaper did request a trade in the previous summer as well but decided to give it one last shot at the Nets.
