Trae Young Takes A Revenge Shot At Jimmy Butler After Dropping 50 Points On Miami

2 Min Read

Trae Young finally took revenge on the Miami Heat, as he dropped 50 points and got a huge win over the Florida team. After dropping a career-high 50 points on Thursday night, the Atlanta Hawks star took to Twitter to take some shots at Jimmy Butler.

Two months ago Butler went after Young on social media for celebrating prematurely, and the 21-year-old was waiting for his opportunity to clap back. Fortunately, it arrived on Thursday.

Back in December, Young was spotted saying “It’s Over” as the Hawks had a six-point lead over the Heat with under a minute left in regulation at the American Airlines Center. Somehow Miami tied the game in the last seconds, with Butler draining a big triple. Following that, the Heat completed the comeback in the extra period and earned a 135-121 victory.

Butler didn’t miss the chance to call out Young on social media shortly after.

Two months later, the sophomore took his revenge, stating he indeed could see the future after dropping 50 on Butler and Miami.

Young had to wait two months to get his revenge and he did so in a big way. He became the first Hawks player since Shareef Abdur-Rahim to reach the 50-point scoring mark.
