Last season, the New York Knicks finally made it to the postseason after seven seasons. Although they were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round, many believed it was the beginning of good times for the team.

Coming into the 2021-22 NBA season, the Knicks weren’t a championship favorite or anything but they were certainly expected to repeat their last season’s success. Well, with more than half of the season over, the success is nowhere to be found for the team.

If anything, things have only gotten worse for the franchise. Currently, they sit at the 12th spot in the Western Conference with a record of 24-29. On top of that, it is becoming more evident with each passing day that their supposed franchise superstar Julius Randle doesn’t want to stay with the team.

Randle recently unfollowed the Knicks on Instagram, which, of course, created turmoil. But in the NY Knicks’ defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers, Randle did something even worse.

A video recently surfaced online where the star forward can be seen getting into an altercation with one of the team’s assistant coaches.

As it can be seen clearly in the video, Randle not only tried to knock down the coach’s laptop, but he also got in a verbal argument with him.

Considering the Knicks blew a 21-point lead against the Lakers, a bit of frustration is understandable. Even so, trying to fight his own coaches will not give him any solutions.

Although he managed to put up 32 points against the Lakers, his efforts were shadowed by such behavior with the coaching staff. With the NBA trade deadline right around the corner, the Knicks will most likely try to trade the 1x All-Star.

If any deal doesn’t take place before/on the trade deadline, it might have an adverse effect on the morale of the rest of the team. Will Randle remain a Knicks player after the NBA trade deadline? We will get a clearer picture in the coming days.
