Zach LaVine gave the Chicago Bulls a reason to celebrate, and the team did just that by breaking into a jig when he drilled a three-pointer.

The guard racked up 41 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists that came on the back of 11 threes to help the Bulls register a convincing 126-112 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

It wasn’t just LaVine who went nuclear. Nikola Vucevic had a triple-double to his credit, while Patrick Williams and DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 18 and 12 points each.

One of the instances in the third quarter saw LaVine pull up for a three while on his way to burying the Sixers, and the bench went into a frenzy and pulled off some dance moves when he drained it.

NBA Trade Rumors: Zach LaVine To The Los Angeles Lakers Continues To Do The Rounds

Zach LaVine has been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers for some time now, and there have been reports of the guard even wanting out of Chicago to play in LA.

While he has shed light on the rumors, the Lakers are still one of the sides pegged to land the All-Star. Recently, Chicago Bulls writer Josh Cornelissen suggested that the Bulls let go of LaVine in a blockbuster trade idea.

Lakers get: Zach LaVine, Coby White, Andre Drummond

Bulls get: Russell Westbrook, 2027 first-round pick, 2029 first-round pick

Trading for an All-Star like Zach LaVine would allow them to follow both paths, making a big swing to mollify James and make them competitive this season while setting themselves up to fight for a title next season. Adding another injury-prone player in LaVine is certainly a risk, but the upside is that the Lakers have a true third star to help keep that window propped open.

This deal would also work if the Lakers asked for Alex Caruso instead of Coby White and Andre Drummond, but the Bulls probably say no and try to shop Caruso for a first-round pick elsewhere

All things considered, the Bulls seem to be focused on winning, as are the Lakers. Both teams have the same record, although the latter is yet to break into the top ten. Only time will tell if LaVine, who is eligible to be traded after January 15, lands with the Lakers.
