New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson had nothing but good things to say about His Airness, Michael Jordan. Williamson joined TNT's Ernie Johnson in the latest episode of NBA Together to discuss several topics. It was mandatory for the pair to talk about MJ, the man of the hour after his 10-part docuseries is catching the attention of the whole NBA world.
Zion didn't miss the chance to express his admiration for Jordan and all the things the Chicago Bulls legend did in the Windy City.
"Everything he did was just incredible," Williamson said while also pointing to "the way he flew through the air and dunked on pretty much anybody."
"The one thing he said that really stands out to me is he plays like somebody's watching him for the first time and he doesn't want to disappoint," he explained.
Zion shares a similarity with Jordan since they're both known for their jams. He's considered the next great star in the NBA and he's already showing why so many people have huge expectations about his career.
Even though he missed a big chunk of the 2019/20 season, Zion was putting big numbers before the coronavirus outbreak forced the NBA to suspend the campaign. In 19 games with the Pels, Williamson averaged 23.6 points and 6.8 boards.
