NBA Rumors: ‘Multiple Western Conference Contenders’ Showing Interest In Spencer Dinwiddie

Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie had a good 2019/20 NBA season, where he had to step up for his team during Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s absences and try to make his side competitive in the Eastern Conference. With Kyrie and Durant returning this season and with Caris LeVert expected to have a bigger role with the team, it’s not sure that Dinwiddie will have the same participation he had last year.

After his very good season, the player has been drawing attention around the league and now rumors suggest a group of Western Conference contenders are eyeing a move for him this offseason. Dinwiddie can be a great addition for some teams, coming off the bench or as a starter. Ian Begley of SNY reports that even though nobody knows what the Nets think about letting Dinwiddie go, several teams are expressing interest in the guard.

Multiple western conference contenders have expressed interest internally in trading for Nets SG Spencer Dinwiddie, sources tell SNY.

The Nets’ desire to move Dinwiddie is currently unknown.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that the Nets may be open to trading him.

It remains to be seen what the decision the Nets will make on Dinwiddie’s future, but he could be very valuable in almost every team in the league. He averaged 20.6 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 64 games last season, becoming the biggest figure of the Nets when Kyrie went down.
