Kyle Lowry was one of the big names ahead of the trade deadline. There were multiple teams rumored to be interested in him, including the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat. Kyle Lowry is 35, but he is still an elite point guard who can help a championship-caliber team. There is no wonder that multiple contenders tried to strike a deal for Lowry. As of now though, he remains with the Toronto Raptors.

While Kyle Lowry may still be with the Toronto Raptors right now, he could leave in this upcoming free agency. Recently, there was a report that the Miami Heat are confident of getting Kyle Lowry in free agency. It seems reasonable for them to have waited for free agency if they are indeed that confident of prying him away from the Toronto Raptors.

The Toronto Raptors have been Kyle Lowry’s home for many years now: his tenure there culminated in him winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019. Lowry has won with the Toronto Raptors, and they seem to be headed to a rebuild. Kyle Lowry is a player that could choose to move to a contender, in order to try and win another championship and increase his legacy. At this point, there are no Raptors fans that would begrudge a franchise legend leaving in order to get a ring. The Miami Heat could be a prime destination for Kyle Lowry, and they seem to be confident they can get him.
