Jerami Grant is a two-way forward who currently plays for the Detroit Pistons. He is well-known as a player who plays elite defense and who provides complementary offense. He is perfectly suited to being a No. 2 or No. 3 offensive option on a contender. This year, Jerami Grant put up 19.2 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and 2.4 APG.

There has been no shortage of trade interest in Jerami Grant this season. One of the teams that are reportedly interested in Grant is the Atlanta Hawks. James L. Edwards III and Chris Kirschner of The Athletic relayed the news:

There is one candidate who makes a little more sense than any other: the Atlanta Hawks. After shocking the world in 2021 with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, Atlanta put together a disappointing follow-up season, falling into the Play-In Tournament and eventually losing to the Miami Heat in five games in the first round. The Hawks certainly need to make some tweaks to get back to where they believe they belong on their timeline. Atlanta showed some form of interest in Grant during the 2021-22 season, per sources, and The Athletic believes that the interest still stands.

Edwards: Let’s start here, Chris: I’ve heard that the Hawks had interest in Grant around the deadline and still maintain interest. What have you heard?

Kirschner: This is several months ago now, but at one point prior to the deadline, they were interested in him. As it got closer to the actual deadline day, they had dropped out of the race. Fast forward to now and the interest is there once again.

There is no doubt that Jerami Grant would give the Atlanta Hawks a go-to No. 2 option behind Trae Young, while also improving their perimeter defense. The Atlanta Hawks will definitely have some competition if they are trying to get him though, as it was previously reported that the Portland Trail Blazers are a team that is also interested in Jerami Grant.

Hopefully, we see Jerami Grant land in a destination where he can be the best version of himself if he is traded. He can definitely improve a lot of teams’ chances of winning the championship, and he’ll definitely make the Atlanta Hawks a better team if he is moved there.
