Tim Hardaway Jr. is currently a member of the Dallas Mavericks, and he has shown that he can be a valuable spark plug player that can provide supplementary shot creation whether he’s coming off the bench or in a starting role. As of right now, Tim Hardaway Jr. is averaging 13.9 PPG while shooting 36.6% from the 3PT range.

There have been some reports that indicated Tim Hardaway Jr. has been made available for trades by the Dallas Mavericks. The Miami Heat have been revealed as a suitor for Hardaway Jr’s services, with NBA insider Adam Borai providing details on the situation.

According to multiple sources, the Miami Heat & Dallas Mavericks have had initial conversations on a deal involving Tim Hardaway Jr.

This isn’t the first time Hardaway Jr has been linked to Miami. He’s definitely a name to watch as the deadline approaches.

A deal with the Mavs would have a lot of moving parts. The Heat are also high on a few players from the Mavs like Bullock & Finney-Smith. They easily have the salary to match if talks get serious.

It remains to be seen if the two teams do come to an agreement on a deal involving Tim Hardaway Jr. in the future. He could definitely help the Miami Heat from an offensive standpoint, and it’ll be interesting to see what they would have to give up to get a deal done.

The Miami Heat Have Also Been Linked To Other Players

The Miami Heat are clearly looking for ways to improve their roster and become a more competitive team. Previously, they were linked to veteran point guard Derrick Rose, with an executive suggesting he could be a solid fit for the team.

For the Knicks, his presence was greatly missed last season as he only appeared in 26 games due to injuries. Going into this season, it looked like he was going to be playing a bit more, but he’s only appeared in 25 games and only averages 13 minutes a game when he does play. Despite that, he could be a good fit for the Heat due to the concerns over aging guard Kyle Lowry.

“Miami is a team to look at there, they’re not confident that Kyle Lowry will be healthy in the playoffs, and they’ve had interest in Rose before,” the executive told Deveney.

It will be interesting to see what the Miami Heat will do in the future. They definitely could make some sort of win-now trade, and they are likely to trade for a player who can play a prominent role on their team.

Hopefully, we see the Miami Heat add a true difference-maker and become a true contender in the Eastern Conference. They are a move away, and we’ll see what ends up happening ahead of the trade deadline.
