Kyle Lowry may no longer be an All-Star level player, but he is clearly still a decent point guard that excels at facilitating. As of right now, Kyle Lowry is averaging 12.4 PPG, 4.4 RPG, and 5.4 APG for the Miami Heat.

A recent report from Matt Moore of Action Network revealed that the Miami Heat have been receiving calls about Kyle Lowry, despite some previous reports suggesting that the Heat are not trying to trade the point guard.

“Some recent reporting out of Miami has suggested that Lowry is not available, but teams continue to call to gauge whether that remains true as the Heat struggle to generate anything resembling a functioning playoff-level offense.

A number of teams around the league could use an experienced veteran point guard like Kyle Lowry, who is capable of being a floor general and slowing things down when necessary. It will be interesting to see if he will get more trade interest as we get closer to the deadline, and a number of teams have already been interested in acquiring him.

Kawhi Leonard Wants Kyle Lowry On The Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers are a team that has been interested in acquiring a point guard, with Kyle Lowry being among their list of targets. It has previously been reported that Kawhi Leonard could be behind the Clippers’ pursuit of Lowry.

Kawhi Leonard has made it clear to the Clippers front office that he would welcome a point guard addition, and it’s no surprise that two of his former teammates on his championship Raptors team, Lowry and VanVleet, are on their short list of targets.

Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry won a championship together with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, and it would be interesting to see them reunite in the future. Though Kyle Lowry could definitely help the Los Angeles Clippers immediately, and he would be a better point guard option than both John Wall and Reggie Jackson.

The Los Angeles Clippers have notably been linked to other point guards, such as Mike Conley. Though they have a good number of options, Kyle Lowry might end up being the best one due to his experience overall, as well as his familiarity with Kawhi Leonard and his play style.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Clippers figure out their point guard situation in the future. They have a championship-level ceiling this year, and one move could be all it takes to put them over the top.
