NBA Rumors: Miami Heat Interested In Lonzo Ball

2 Min Read

With about a quarter of the season complete, the Miami Heat are still working to climb out of their hole in the Eastern Conference.

It remains to be seen if they can turn things around, but Greg Sylvander of 5ReasonsSports recently suggested that help could be on the way. According to the report, the Heat front office is considering a pursuit of Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball.

With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, the Heat have a core capable of competing with anyone. Unfortunately, the supporting cast hasn’t quite been stepping up as much as the team has needed, leaving the Heat with inconsistent play and a poor record.

Lonzo, who turned 23 in October, is in the middle of the best season of his career. With season averages of 14.3 points, 5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game, he is quickly emerging as one of the best two-way players in the game.

With the Heat, he could help them regain their status as title contenders. In a conference loaded with talent (Philly, Boston, Milwaukee, Brooklyn), Miami is going to have to do all they can to keep up with the competition.

Getting a guy like Lonzo could be the key to getting where they want to be.
