Kemba Walker has just been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal that featured former Boston Celtics player Al Horford. However, there is no clear fit for a veteran like Kemba Walker on a rebuilding team like the Thunder, and there is the potential for him to be moved again.
Recently, Marc Spears has suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers should explore trading for Kemba Walker by sending away Kyle Kuzma. While Kemba Walker didn't have his best season with the Celtics, perhaps he would do better next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the Los Angeles Lakers. Spears also suggested that Kyle Kuzma could be on the way out already.
Kyle Kuzma has been featured in many trade rumors before, and in terms of salary, he is one of the players that makes the most sense to send out in an exchange for Walker. An interesting point to note is that Kyle Kuzma has also recently removed any mention of the Los Angeles Lakers from his Instagram bio.
While Kyle Kuzma could yet stay with the Los Angeles Lakers, it seems as though he could be packaged in a deal to get some more star power next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Kyle Kuzma is a great player that could potentially flourish elsewhere with more usage, and surely there are teams out there that would welcome his contributions and championship experience.
