Myles Turner is an extremely versatile big man. He's a top-tier rim protector, and offensively a very capable shooter. He would fit on a lot of rosters, and it seems as though he has some suitors already lined up to trade for him.
It has recently been revealed by Scott Agness on his Fieldhouse Files podcast that the Los Angeles Lakers have inquired about Myles Turner. He could be a great player that could shore up their defense while being a solid offensive fit with their superstars, who desperately need more spacing on the roster. The Charlotte Hornets were also a team mentioned in the running for Turner.
I’ve heard there’s been some talks with the Lakers, previously Charlotte checked in several times.
It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers do end up trading for Myles Turner, but there have been a lot of people who like Turner's potential fit with the current Lakers' roster. With that being said, it would take a lot to get a versatile player like Turner, but nothing is impossible.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been inconsistent over the course of this season, and they have been around the .500 mark. Part of the reason for that is LeBron being out with injury for quite some time, but a team with Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, and some good veterans should have been able to grind out some wins without LeBron James.
The Los Angeles Lakers could easily try and make a move to improve. It has previously been reported that the Los Angeles Lakers will be one of the most active teams at the trade deadline, and perhaps a Myles Turner trade is in the cards. However, they will have competition from other teams that can provide trade packages, such as the aforementioned Charlotte Hornets. We'll see if they manage to make a move for the sharpshooting big man.
