Myles Turner is one of the best centers that could be available in the trade market this off-season. He is a floor-spacing center who is arguably one of the best shot-blockers in the league right now. He is a perfect fit on many teams around the league, but his injury issues in the last two seasons have limited his trade value.

The Pacers took a bold move last season when they decided to go for a soft rebuild and trade their All-Star big-man Domantas Sabonis for exciting guard Tyrese Haliburton. This may have indicated that the 26-year-old Turner may still have a future in Indiana after the front court was opened up.

Despite that, it looks like the Pacers are going to double down on their rebuild and move on from Turner. Jake Fischer has reported that Turner could be moved for a first-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, as Indiana does not plan on extending him beyond the 2022-23 season.

Turner’s value is completely in the air right now because he hasn’t been able to stay healthy over long stretches. If he stays available, he is one of the most attractive cheap options a team could pick up to make their team instantly better.

His reliability will always be in question, but if he finds himself n a new situation, he could possibly keep expanding into his skill-set as a well-rounder modern NBA center. The Charlotte Hornets are looking to find the solution to their long-running big-man issues in Turner, readying to part with their 15th pick in this year’s draft.

Other teams like Atlanta and Dallas are also in the running for Turner, with the center being a Dallas native. However, neither team have the assets that would intrigue Indiana more than the offer Charlotte is giving them. It will be interesting to see if this is just another year of Turner rumors or if he actually gets moved finally.
