NBA Rumors: Knicks Could Be A Potential Trade Partner For Victor Oladipo

2 Min Read

Not so long ago, Victor Oladipo was among the league’s leaders in steals, made his first All-Star appearance, and looked poised to break out as one of the NBA’s top two-way players.

He had finally found his place with the Indiana Pacers and then, injuries happened. Oladipo has been unable to stay on the court and the Pacers have moved on, making Domantas Sabonis and TJ Warren their top priorities going forward and leaving him as the odd man out.

And, according to a recent report, he’s no longer invested in the Pacers’ project and would prefer a move out of the team. Moreover, the New York Knicks would be interested in making a move for the Indiana alumni.

The New York Knicks have been looking for a marquee player for years. They’ve also reportedly shown interest in Donovan Mitchell, so it’ll make sense for them to inquire about Oladipo’s availability.

When healthy, Oladipo has proven that he can play both guard spots, run the point, and even guard some small forwards. He’s long, athletic, and a solid all-around scorer but there are serious questions about his durability and whether he’s lost some of his lateral quickness.

Leaving the Pacers for the Knicks may not be the smartest decision if he wants to compete but hey, he’ll become a legend if he’s able to take them back to the playoffs.
