Anonymous NBA Executive Believes There Is “No Chance” The Sixers Agree To Trade Simmons To Cleveland

Following another early playoff exit, the Philadelphia 76ers are under more pressure than ever to trade their flawed young star, Ben Simmons.

The organization has only expressed loyalty to Ben outwardly, but there is a growing belief the former Rookie of The Year could be had for the right price.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a team rumored to be in the mix, but one anonymous NBA executive recently shot down that possibility in a chat with Jason Lloyd of The Athletic.

I asked one executive from an opposing team if the Cavs could get the Sixers’ Ben Simmons for a package of Love and Sexton. While the money matches, the response was “no chance; Philly can do better” despite Simmons’ deflated value.

Simmons’ value is at an all-time low, thanks to his offensive struggles that were put in the spotlight during the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

Still, all things considered, Ben is a young talent with a very high ceiling. In the right situation, he could blossom into the superstar many imagined he’d be coming out of LSU.

That reality is bad news for the Cavs, who likely don’t have enough to pull off a trade for the intriguing swingman.

Nevertheless, we’ll see before too long which team Ben suits up for next.
