NBA Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Could Land Lonzo Ball

2 Min Read

You should keep an eye on Lonzo Ball and his situation this Thursday as he’s expected to leave the New Orleans Pelicans before the trade deadline strikes. Lonzo has improved his level this season and the Pelicans could cash in on his talents to keep building around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and more have been linked with the point guard in recent times but more teams in the East would be happy to welcome Ball. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, even though it is a long shot, the Philadelphia 76ers could be a potential destination for Ball this Thursday. Besides the Sixers, Woj said that the Chicago Bulls are also keeping tabs on this situation.

“I think Philly is more of a long shot for Lonzo Ball. But I do think that there’s a pretty good chance he moves before Thursday’s trade deadline. There have been talks with the Bulls; that’s certainly going to be one to watch.”

This is a very long shot, as Woj said, especially knowing that Kyle Lowry has also been on the radar of the Sixers and Clippers, two teams linked with the Ball brother. We have one day to find out what is going to happen here but the general consensus around the league is that the Pelicans will ship him in the trade deadline.
