NBA Rumors: James Harden’s Preferred Trade Destinations Now Include Boston Celtics And Portland Trail Blazers

2 Min Read

It seems like it has been an eternity since James Harden has requested a trade from the Houston Rockets. The Rockets have been moving at a snail’s pace to complete a trade, and it seems like James Harden has gotten impatient with the front office. There have been reports of many negative incidents regarding James Harden: it definitely seems like he wants a trade.

James Harden had a few teams on his preferred destinations, including the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat. It is reported though that he has expanded the list of teams where he wants to get traded to. The Athletic’s Kelly Iko reported on the situation.

Harden has been linked with the Boston Celtics before, it seems as though the Portland Trail Blazers are the new team on his list. Seeing James Harden with Damian Lillard could be amazing: they are both elite All-Stars and would be unguardable together on the perimeter. There were some trade packages floating around: so a trade is definitely within the realm of possibility. The question is, now that the Trail Blazers know this, will they make a move?

Getting James Harden would definitely be worth it for the Trail Blazers. He would be an instant upgrade over CJ McCollum, although McCollum is no slouch himself. Is an MVP player worth breaking up amazing chemistry? That’s a question the Trail Blazers may have to answer if the Houston Rockets come calling.
