The Golden State Warriors lost 104-112 to the LA Clippers tonight. It was a solid performance from the Clippers, and the Warriors, who had started the season so well, couldn’t get the job done, especially with Stephen Curry injuring his ankle badly and leaving the game.

NBA Fans reacted to the loss, with many hoping that Stephen Curry’s injury was not serious and that he would make a quick recovery. Whereas some other fans criticized how the Warriors played, noting that some of their younger stars didn’t perform well, and changes need to be made.

“Should’ve traded Podz and JK for a real No.2 to play when Steph is injured. Now we are sooo f****d. Pls be okay Steph.”

“PLEASE BE OK STEPH.”

“Kuminga, Hield, and Podz are unserious individuals.”

“Trade Kuminga and pod two trashcans.”

“What does Jonathan Kuminga do?”

“Lose the home opener, lose Steph to injury. We are not so back.”

“Can’t believe they played him so much.”

“Steph take your time, heal up goat.”

“Did not like that Kuminga was missing wide-open ones, he needs to lock in!”

“It’s gonna get very very ugly without Steph. Pls, be okay.”

“Fire Steve Kerr not putting in green since 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter, I can’t stand Steve’s rotations.”

“Y’all we can’t trade for Lauri anymore he signed a max lol.”

“Playing like children. Steve Kerr lacks tactical depth.”

Stephen Curry played decently before he got injured, putting up 18 points, four rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. Andrew Wiggins stepped up in Steph’s absence, putting up 29 points, three rebounds, one steal, and one block.

But the biggest disappointment tonight was Buddy Heild, as he scored just eight points, with six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block, shooting just 3-14 from the field and an abysmal 1-9 from beyond the arc.

Clippers Continue To Show Promise

On the other side of the coin, the Clippers were absolutely sensational against the Warriors tonight. The team was locked in on both ends of the court, and played very well and like a cohesive unit when they needed to most. Outside of a small 10-0 run in the fourth quarter, the Clippers were in control for the whole game.

James Harden was the leader for the Clippers on the court, as he put up 23 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds. But by far the best player for the Clippers tonight was Ivica Zubac, who put up 23 points, 18 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. It was a monster game for the Croat, who continues to prove people wrong this season.

Norman Powell also did well, scoring 20 points, with one rebound, and Derrick Jones Jr. put up 18 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Ty Lue will be thrilled with the way his team has started the season, especially with Kawhi Leonard unavailable for the foreseeable future.

Can the Clippers keep this momentum going? It’s certainly possible, but for how long they continue to play like this definitely remains to be seen.
