LeBron James just added a Hall of Fame co-signer to his hit basketball podcast Mind the Game. After a months-long hiatus, the show is officially back for Season 2—and this time, two-time NBA MVP and former Nets coach Steve Nash is sitting across the table from the King.

In a surprise teaser released on the show’s social media accounts Wednesday, LeBron and Nash are seen back in the now-iconic Mind the Game setup: dim lighting, two glasses of wine, and an iPad ready for X’s and O’s breakdowns. But the biggest revelation wasn’t a play—it was the duo itself. c

LeBron made it official:

“Yo, we back at it man. Mind the Game here with Steve Nash, two-time MVP.”

The teaser immediately went viral, with NBA fans buzzing over what this pairing means for hoops discourse.

Season 1 of the podcast, co-hosted by LeBron and JJ Redick, was a massive success, averaging 1.5 million views per episode before Redick stepped away after being named head coach of the Lakers. Now, Nash slides into the seat and is already making headlines.

In one clip, Nash references the trade that stunned the league—Luka Doncic to the Lakers.

“I’ve heard many people say you can’t make a blockbuster trade midseason and contend.”

LeBron replies instantly with a smirk: “They’re wrong.”

So far, LeBron might be right. Luka has seamlessly fit in with the Lakers, who now sit fourth in the Western Conference with a 43-28 record.

Since joining, Doncic has been putting up mind-bending numbers, averaging 27.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 7.8 assists, while the team has become one of the NBA’s most dangerous playoff threats.

Nash also joked about Redick’s transition from co-host to head coach.

“Last year, you were doing this with a professional podcaster who now is your head coach,” Nash said, with LeBron chuckling in response.

But the duo didn’t stop at laughs. The heart of Mind the Game has always been about deep basketball philosophy, and LeBron brought that right back:

“I’ve always loved the players that breed so much confidence into their teammates that they actually better than what the f**k they really are.”

To which Nash responded enthusiastically:

“Yes, Yes.”

It was vintage Nash and LeBron—two of the most cerebral players in NBA history, breaking down the mental side of the game like only they can.

The highlight of the teaser, though, came when LeBron casually threw out the possibility of Nash coaching again.

“Real quick, if he gets a head coaching job because whatever… We didn’t talk about this beforehand, guys. But two great minds though, once again.”

With JJ Redick already proving the leap from podcasting to coaching is real, could Nash follow that path again? It’s unclear.

But for now, fans will be treated to a weekly masterclass starting April 1, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday on YouTube and Prime Video.

After all, as LeBron just proved again—when Mind the Game is in session, it’s more than a podcast. It’s basketball IQ at its highest level.
