LeBron James Hugged Everyone Except Jaylen Brown At NBA All-Star Game

LeBron James ignored Jaylen Brown in the All-Star locker room, possibly due to his comments about Bronny James.

LeBron James did not take part in the 2025 NBA All-Star game due to an injury. However, he did show up for the game. And when he entered the locker room, he greeted all of his teammates, except Jaylen Brown. Eagle-eyed fans noticed this and pointed this out in a video of James entering the Chase Center locker room.

It is odd to see James ignore one of the best players in the NBA when greeting his fellow All-Stars. But perhaps this could be due to Jaylen Brown’s disrespectful comments about LeBron’s son, Bronny James, during the 2024 NBA Summer League.

Fans will remember that Brown, along with WNBA stars Kysre Gondrezick and Angel Reese, sat courtside during a Lakers-Celtics Summer League game, and criticized Bronny for not being at the NBA level due to his poor performances in his first few Summer League games.

What was ironic about Brown’s comments was the fact that Bronny actually had better stats at the Summer League than Jaylen Brown did in his inaugural tournament as a rookie for the Celtics. Regardless, it appears those comments did get back to LeBron James, and he holds a grudge against Brown for his unkind words.

It is completely understandable for LeBron, who is a proud and loving father, to be upset with Brown for unfairly criticizing his son. Even if Brown didn’t mean to insult Bronny with his comments, it was still a harsh assessment, especially given that Bronny was a late second-round draft pick who was going to spend most of his time in the G-League.

After a rough start to his NBA career, Bronny James has found success in the G-League. He is putting up strong numbers, averaging 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks while shooting 43.0% from the field, 39.0% from the three-point line, and 78.6% from the free-throw line.

If he continues playing at this level in the G-League, Bronny could find himself becoming a solid role player in the NBA. He is steadily improving with every game he plays and is finally adjusting to professional basketball after a difficult set of years in the NBA and in college.

Fans must remember that just a few years ago, Bronny James suffered a life-threatening cardiac arrest during a USC practice session. Luckily, James didn’t end up with any long-term side effects that could affect his career. But his heart problems did mean that the USC coaching staff played him very little during the season.

Now that he is getting regular playing time against players at his level, he is able to make slow, but steady adjustments to his game and take steps to get better.

His abilities are improving with every game, and he is becoming a smarter player as well. Along with this, he gets occasional minutes with the Los Angeles Lakers and recently put up a career-high nine points against the Utah Jazz before the All-Star break. All signs are pointing to Bronny becoming a decent player in the years to come.
