Anthony Davis drove to the basket amidst heavy contact during the Los Angeles Lakers‘ game against the Detroit Pistons. Davis wanted a foul, and loudly screamed after facing contact. Malik Beasley, who was a former teammate of Davis on the Lakers, responded to him by trolling him over his screaming and telling him it wasn’t enough to get the call in his favor.

It doesn’t look like there was any malice or animosity in Beasley’s comment, and it was just made in a competitive spirit, while also having fun with his former teammate. Regardless of the comment, Davis has made it to the line six times so far in the game, making four of his shots at the charity stripe.

Anthony Davis has been having a good game so far. In 20 minutes played, Davis has put up 13 points (4-7 FG), four rebounds, five assists, and two blocks. As for Beasley, he has been on fire against his former team, leading the Pistons in scoring with 14 points (5-8 FG), two rebounds, and one steal. He has gone 4-6 from beyond the arc, and taken the chance to celebrate and mock the Lakers after every big shot made.

As things stand, the Lakers and Pistons are exchanging leads early in the third quarter. The young Pistons team is giving the Lakers a massive fight right now, and trying to break their two-game winning streak. The strong Lakers defense seems to be struggling against a lively Pistons squad that is coming at them from both the perimeter and the interior.

The Lakers will be trying to get a foothold in this game and build a lead heading into the fourth quarter. Stay tuned to Fadeaway World for fan reactions and instant analysis as soon as this game ends.
