The Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons are motivated to complete their respective Playoff pushes with the highest-possible seed with just two weeks in the season. Unfortunately, the high tensions on both ends led to a major on-court brawl with multiple coaches and players punished.

The Timberwolves lost guard Donte DiVincenzo, big Naz Reid, and assistant coach Pablo Prigioni to an ejection, while the Pistons saw Ron Holland, Isaiah Stewart, Marcus Sasser, and head coach J. B. Bickerstaff get ejected.

The altercation started after rookie Holland fouled Naz Reid on a drive. While changing heated words, Donte DiVincenzo took umbrage with Holland and gave him a shove, which led to the team-wide brawl courtside, with it extending into the fan seats.

The Pistons lead this game 60-54 at halftime but will have a task holding on to the lead given they lost more players and their head coach during this scuffle. The Timberwolves lost players as well, but they can deal with the absence of two as compared to the absence of four in Detroit.

Intelligently, Anthony Edwards (6 PTS) did not get involved, and the star guard will continue battling in the second half. The Pistons are already without Cade Cunningham, so Edwards and the Wolves have to maximize this win over a significantly shorthanded Pistons squad in the second half of this contest.

Detroit’s leading scorer this game has been Malik Beasley with 18 points (6-10 3P), while Julius Randle has put up 15 points (4-10 FG), and Rudy Gobert has a double-double with 11 points (5-8 FG) and 12 rebounds.
