Ben Simmons got his wish granted on Thursday, getting swapped for James Harden and Paul Millsap in a deal that included Seth Curry and Andre Drummond going from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Australian playmaker had no intention of playing for the Sixers again after his terrible series against the Atlanta Hawks last season. He’s been away from the team due to ‘mental health issues,’ but Simmons could be ready to return to action in Brooklyn, where Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are waiting for him.

According to the team general manager Sean Mark, the player is ready to go and excited to be part of the Nets organization. He was in Brooklyn today to do his medical, showing his happiness after landing in a championship contender.

Sean Marks says Ben Simmons was in Brooklyn today to get his physical. He said Simmons is ecstatic about being in Brooklyn, and said the team is, too. Said the Nets are here to support him, and the rest of their players, however they can.

Ben is ready to face a new challenge in the league after his tumultuous stint with the 76ers. This change of air could be the right step in Simmons’ career, and the player must be happy to join two incredible stars like Durant and Irving.

It remains to be seen if this is a better fit than James Harden, but Simmons isn’t a ball hog like the Beard. This could be a terrific addition to the Brooklynites, and Ben can finally be a crucial part of a championship team. He also selected his new number, 10, to start this new chapter in his career.
