The New Orleans Pelicans failed to fill all their virtual seats during the first game of the NBA resumption on Thursday. The Pels faced the Utah Jazz in the bubble but their fans failed to show up at the season re-opener.
Not even having Zion Williamson got fans to attend the game. Pictures surfaced showing how empty the virtual seats were for the Pelicans, who ended up losing the game against the Jazz, 106-104, losing a big advantage in the 4th quarter.

Brandon Ingram had a good game for the Pels, dropping 23 points and getting 8 rebounds in 33 minutes. Zion only played 15 minutes, scoring 13 points.
On the other end, Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley each scored 20 points to lead the Jazz.
Still, the biggest story of the night has to be the emptiness in the Pelicans’ virtual seats. They’re a very exciting young team and they had a good game. Too bad other fans didn’t show up to the game that served as the opener of the second part of the NBA season.
New Orleans returns to the court tomorrow, against the Los Angeles Clippers at 6 PM ET. Hopefully, they can have more fans in attendance.
