Nick Young Trolls Draymond Green For Saying Nobody Can Beat Him, Curry And Thompson: “Toronto Whooped Y’All A**”

3 Min Read

Nick Young recently trolled former teammate Draymond Green trying to prove a point, reminding the 3x NBA champion that the Golden State Warriors weren’t unbeatable and suffered some big losses during their best times in the league.

The Dubs dominated the NBA from 2015 through 2019, going to five consecutive Finals, winning three titles in the process. They lost big series along the way, especially the 2016 Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where they blew a 3-1 lead against the LeBron James-led Cavs.

Besides that memorable series, the Warriors lost the title against the Toronto Raptors in 2019. That series was the last time Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant played together, and also the start of a new era for the Warriors.

The new process lasted only two years, but that defeat against the Raptors is still painful for many Warriors fans. Nick Young is well aware of that and he threw it to Draymond’s face in a recent conversation. These are two of the funniest NBA players out there and you know any interaction between them will be a lot of fun.

While Draymond made a case for himself, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as an unbeatable trio, Young was quick to remind him that the Raptors beat them in 2019.

Green: The reality is, it still has not been proven that nobody in the league can beat me, Klay, and Steph for a whole series since we won.

Young: Toronto whooped y’all a**.

Green: Klay got hurt.

Young: He was there for 6 games.

Green Game 6 was about to be over and Game 7– you going back to Game 7 down 3-1, take it from me, you losing.

Young: You had a good fight.

This was a good exchange and every player had valid points to defend their position. However, the only thing we know is that Klay got hurt, Kevin Durant went down too and the Warriors couldn’t keep up with the Raptors, who closed the series in six games, winning their first and only NBA championship.

We’ll never know what would have happened if Thompson and KD never got hurt, but Draymond is confident the Dubs would have become the first team to three-peat in the league since the Shaq and Kobe-led Los Angeles Lakers.
