Andrew Wiggins Reacts To K-Pop Star Helping Him Becoming An All-Star: “I’ll Give It A Chance To K-Pop. Especially BamBam.”

Andrew Wiggins is having an incredible season with the Golden State Warriors. He’s not the flashiest player of all but has improved his level ever since he made it from Minnesota to the Bay Area. In the past two seasons, we have witnessed his evolution, which has taken him to this point.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Wiggins would be an All-Star starter next February 20. The player was one of the five selected to represent the Western Conference in the starting lineups, an honor that perfectly explains how well he’s played this campaign.

Following the announcement, it was revealed that Wiggins received a little bit of help from a K-Pop artist with a large fanbase on social media. BamBam is a global ambassador for the Golden State Warriors and he understood his role by taking Wiggins to the biggest game of the regular season.

The singer, who boasts 9.4 million followers on Twitter, sent out a tweet asking fans to support the small forward, and they did it. The tweet has been shared over 40K times and received more than 71K likes at the time of writing.

Wiggins is extremely happy to be an All-Star starter, and he had nothing but good things to say about BamBam. Following the Warriors’ 110-106 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night, Andrew was asked about the support he received from the singer, admitting it was great to know somebody had his back that way.

“I thought it was pretty cool,” Wiggins said. “He’s a pretty popular guy and he helped me get a ton of votes.”

Wiggins clarified that he had never heard of BamBam before he sent the tweet, but now it’ll be hard to forget about him.

“But now I’ll never forget him,” Wiggins said.

Of course, he was asked if he’s a K-Pop fan now. Wiggs said that not yet, but he’s planning on listening to some music, mainly BamBam’s.

“Not yet,” Wiggins said. “I’ll give it a chance, though. Especially BamBam.”

Seeing Wiggins earning his first All-Star call as a starter is really great. Some could say he had unfair help from BamBam’s fans, but nobody can deny he’s done a terrific job with the Warriors, becoming a key figure on Steve Kerr’s team.

The All-Star Game draft will take place next February 10. That’s when Wiggins will find out if he’s Team LeBron or Team Durant.
