Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook never had the best relationship. In fact, they never had any relationship in the NBA, but this past offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers paired them up to try to have a better chance to compete in the difficult Western Conference.

A couple of years ago, Westbrook claimed that Beverley had tricked everybody, as he doesn’t defend anything and just ran around the court. Bev fired back last season, taking a shot at Russ for ‘disappearing’ for the Lakers.

After the Lakers traded for Beverley, many fans thought this situation would be bad for the Purple and Gold, but they showed they are professionals and clicked from the get-go. Now, Westbrook has Beverley’s back no matter what and things are going just fine between them.

Patrick Beverley And Russell Westbrook Reunited For Christmas Ahead Of Lakers Game

To put things into perspective, Pat revealed that he had dinner with Westbrook on Christmas eve, confirming that they are on the best possible terms. This is great for the Lakers, who couldn’t afford to have their two best point guards beefing again.

“Funny how life works. Just finished Christmas Eve dinner with @russwest44,” Beverley wrote on Twitter.

The former Los Angeles Clippers player had beef with some players on the Lakers, including LeBron James, who starred in a curious moment with Bev. Now, things appear to be fine between all of them, but the Lakers are struggling to find their rhythm in the 2022-23 NBA season.

Anthony Davis is sidelined with an injury and it’s unclear when he will return. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad is trying to bounce back after going 1-3 since Davis went down, and they’ll try to get back to winning ways today against the Dallas Mavericks in one of the best matchups of this year’s Christmas games.

Hopefully, the good relationship between Beverley and Westbrook translates into a win for the Purple and Gold.
