Patrick Beverley is known as one of the most outspoken players in the NBA, and he is unafraid of expressing his opinion on various topics around the NBA. It seems as though that has happened recently.

In one of his latest Tweets, Patrick Beverley took shots at both the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers, pointing out that the Timberwolves ended basketball in Los Angeles. The Timberwolves got crucial wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers over the later stages of the regular season and the play-in tournament.

T’wolves ended basketball in LA (Clippers,Lakers) We littt

This isn’t the first time Patrick Beverley has taken shots at either team. For example, he once took shots at the Lakers, claiming that the Clippers turned Los Angeles “into a Clipper city” during his time there.

Lots of smiles man, lots of smiles… I got no regrets. Wouldn’t change anything. We put on for the city. We turned this Laker city into a Clipper city and that’s all you can ask for. We gave the fans something to be excited about. We gave the city something to be excited about. People wanted to see the Clippers play for whatever reason.. we appreciate that.

He has also roasted the Clippers for trading for him. After a 12 assist game, he claimed that he wanted to “set the tone” by passing the ball because the Clippers traded him because he “wasn’t a playmaker”.

“I wanted to come out here & pass the ball. One of the reasons [they traded me], Clippers was always looking for another guard cuz they said I wasn’t a playmaker, so I wanted to set the tone with that tonight.”

Patrick Beverley is clearly willing to say what he thinks, and he is obviously supremely confident in his abilities. His confidence has clearly rubbed off on the young Timberwolves players around him.

The Timberwolves have a chance to become a legitimate contender in the near future, and getting to the playoffs was a good start. Hopefully, they are able to build on this postseason appearance next season.
