During Klay Thompson’s sit-down on the ‘Podcast P’ show, the Warriors star made some headlines for speaking on a previous incident with Devin Booker. In the clip, which went viral on social media, Thompson admitted to feeling regret over how he acted during an in-game skiff with Book… but that’s not where the story ends.

Later, Devin Booker left a comment on the clip accusing PG of baiting Thompson into saying something juicy. Now, PG has fought back by calling out Book’s statement during a live stream on Twitch.

“My thoughts on Booker’s comments… I mean he didn’t really say nothing except is that what you wanted to hear,” PG said. “I don’t really care, that’s Klay’s answer. I asked a question, Klay gave his response. I don’t know what that was supposed to mean… sorry a** response, but I don’t know what that was supposed to mean.”

The NBA is described as something like a brotherhood between players. So it makes sense why Booker would go out of his way to defend Klay here. With so much attention being drawn to the issue, Booker feels like PG exploited the situation for clout instead of just letting it stay forgotten.

In PG’s defense, he never forced Thompson to give that kind of answer and it seems like Klay was just genuinely feeling guilty for how he handled that particular interaction with Booker.

Do PG And Booker Have Beef?

At a glance, the two have no reason to be rivals but they actually have a history of intense altercations. Back in 2021, for example, Booker and PG got caught up in a tussle mid-game after the Suns star was seen calling George a “soft a**.”

For now, this appears to be the end of their latest encounter but don’t be surprised if they exchange words again in the future. As two highly competitive athletes not afraid to speak their minds, it makes sense that they’d rub shoulders on more than one occasion.
