Jamal Murray hasn’t played basketball for a long time as he missed all of this season with a serious injury, and many have forgotten just how good he is as the second star for the Denver Nuggets. Murray is not only a good player, though; he’s quite the personality as well, always ready to joke around whenever he can.

He had a hilarious moment in a postgame interview with Richard Jefferson a few seasons ago. Jefferson himself is a quite the comedian in his appearances on ESPN, his chemistry with Kendrick Perkins, in particular, has earned him quite a few fans in recent times.

What a lot of NBA fans may have forgotten was that Jefferson ended his career after a final season with the Denver Nuggets, during which time he was teammates with Jamal Murray. And that led to the funny exchange between the two when Jefferson ended up interviewing Murray after a game on ESPN.

Richard Jefferson: “Jamal, can you hear me?”

Jamal Murray: “Yes sir, yes sir.”

RJ: “Don’t you, don’t you dare ‘yes sir’ me ever again.”

JM: “Wait, who is this? Whatchu talking about?”

RJ: “Just don’t ever let that happen again, do you understand me, sir?”

JM: “Who the hell are you talking to?”

RJ: “I am talking to you, young man.”

Jefferson was presumably a bit offended that Murray failed to recognize his voice, considering that the two were teammates with the Nuggets. The entire encounter clearly became a joke once Murray realized who he was talking to, and his facial expressions throughout the whole situation are absolutely priceless. Murray’s return is an exciting prospect for the Nuggets next season, who have struggled without him and Michael Porter Jr., and hopefully, his performances in his return will lead to more hilarious moments in postgame interviews.
