Richard Jefferson has found a new life as an NBA analyst since retiring from the game. His vast knowledge of the game, combined with his championship experience and natural charisma have allowed him to become one of the most valuable assets to ESPN’s NBA coverage team.

One person who Jefferson often pokes fun at is Kendrick Perkins. Much like Jefferson, Perkins is a former NBA champion and has a lot of experience which he has used to parlay a career as an analyst for ESPN.

Jefferson recently posted a TikTok making fun of ‘Big Perk‘, all in jest of course, as the two get ready to cover the new NBA season for ESPN. But RJ has been going at Perkins for some time now.

Jefferson’s latest quip comes from Perkins’ flub during the 2021 NBA Draft. Covering the draft, Perkins tried to give praise to Golden State Warriors #14 draft pick Moses Moody but flubbed his words and couldn’t pronounce his name properly.

On Instagram, RJ posted a reel in which he jokes that his brain remembers the Moses Moody incident every time he sees Big Perk, and apologized to fellow Inside The NBA co-host Mallika Andrews for the flubs that Perkins could bring to the table when the show kicks off for the new NBA season.

Having played and won a championship with LeBron James, RJ even takes aim at the King from time to time, as his friendship with LeBron is largely based on their respective senses of humor. He even joked about wanting a roster spot on the veteran-heavy 2021 Los Angeles Lakers squad this offseason.

Jefferson is one of the most hilarious basketball personalities in the world today. RJ is extremely sharp and witty, and is quick with jokes, especially when it comes to social media.
