Perhaps the only thing in the basketball community more exciting than the return of the NBA is the upcoming release of 2k21. The newest yearly installment of the series is poised to be the best one yet.

With new, next-generation consoles, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for the 2k series.

PS5 and Xbox Series X will be far more powerful machines than the PS4 and Xbox One. The new consoles will blow past the visual boundaries on the current-gen systems with graphics best enjoyed on 8K televisions, and that will utilize HDMI 2.1 cables for enhanced performance.

The franchise’s Digital Marketing Director, Ronnie 2k, went so far as to call the latest game better than any before.

NBA 2k20 has been highly criticized by fans. Some of the bugs, animations, and microtransactions haven;t been ideal for a lot of players and many are hoping for some significant changes in the next title.

Things like park affiliation, general gameplay improvements, and cross-play mechanics have been on the wishlist for 21 for months now — but will 2k comply? SO far, it seems as if they’re at least somewhat listening to fans.

We’ll see what the end product looks like for ourselves in a few months, hopefully.
