There is no doubt that Victor Wembanyama is the most hyped prospect in the 2023 NBA Draft, and he clearly has a superstar ceiling. However, the 2023 NBA Draft is good as a whole, and one of the more elite prospects in it is guard Scoot Henderson of the G-League Ignite. He is highly regarded due to his bionic athleticism and ability to see the floor.

Scoot Henderson has recently claimed that his “dog” mentality separates him from Victor Wembanyama and added that he is the “most prepared” prospect in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Having the right mentality definitely matters at the NBA level, and we have often seen talented players fail in the league due to them not having the right mindset coming in. Hopefully, we see Scoot Henderson thrive, and it seems as though he is the type of player that wants to succeed no matter what.

In the G-League, Scoot Henderson averaged 16.5 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 6.5 APG this season, and it is clear that he has the tools to find success at the NBA level. It will be interesting to see which team ends up drafting him, and it is highly likely that he will stay within the top 5 of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Some People Believe Victor Wembanyama Can Be The GOAT

Even though Scoot Henderson will likely be an elite player in the NBA, Victor Wembanyama’s mix of length, athleticism, and skill has made him the most hyped prospect in the 2023 NBA Draft. In fact, one NBA agent suggested that he could end up as the GOAT of basketball.

“If he’s not hurt, he’ll be the greatest player ever,” said the agent, who has multiple clients playing overseas and in the NBA. “He’s the best player in the league and the level of players he’s playing against are the best players in the Pac-12, the best college players, borderline NBA guys — and he’s dominating. Dominating. Wembanyama’s physicality, I think people underestimate because he’s so thin. He’s a physically strong dude. When everything opens in the NBA, he’s going to be unstoppable, totally unstoppable. He’ll be the best rim protector in the NBA from day one. And then offensively, he’ll be an efficient, unstoppable force from day one.”

There’s no doubt that this is huge praise from the agent, though it is easy to see why he is high on the prospect. He is clearly the most highly-anticipated prospect in NBA history, and hopefully, we see him become a superstar like everyone expects him to be.
