“Scottie Pippen At The Time Begging MJ To Come Out Of Retirement To Play With Him Again,” Fan Calls Out Bulls Legend Over Recent Michael Jordan Comments

Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan won six NBA championships together, but their relationship has become poor in the years since they both retired from the league.

Scottie Pippen has made headlines with a controversial podcast appearance where he said some unflattering things about Michael Jordan. And an NBA fan called Scottie out for it using an old video of him from when MJ retired for the first time.

Between 1991 to 1998, the Chicago Bulls won six NBA titles. The two seasons they didn’t win were the two seasons that Michael Jordan didn’t start with the team thanks to his retirement. He returned midway through the 1994-95 season when the Bulls were struggling despite having a fairly loaded roster.

This video was taken in a game around the time rumors of MJ returning to the NBA was truly beginning, and it’s evident that Scottie wanted his teammate to return to the fold. In the past, Scottie Pippen has been effusive in his praise for Michael Jordan even though the situation may have changed since then.

And Michael Jordan’s return did make all the difference for the Bulls. Even though they didn’t win it all in 1995, they would go on to complete another threepeat in the coming years and forever immortalize themselves in basketball lore. Michael Jordan may have been unable to win without Scottie Pippen, but there is no doubt that without his return, the Bulls wouldn’t have won three more championships.

Scottie Pippen is Emphatic That He Won’t Mend His Relationship With Michael Jordan

There are complications beyond basketball for what happened between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, the recent relationship between MJ’s son and Scottie’s ex-wife being one of them. And while fans have been hoping for a reconciliation, Pippen made it clear that it is not going to happen

“I don’t,” Scottie said about reconciling with Michael Jordan and Phil Jackson. “You’ve been around Michael, you’ve been around Phil. Their egos are huge. I don’t bow down to people like that.”

While it is easy to understand where all the animosity on Pippen’s end comes from, he also has to be cognizant of MJ’s contributions to his achievements. Pippen deserves more credit, but those Chicago Bulls teams became a dynasty on the back of everything Michael Jordan led them to. The more he tries to discredit the GOAT, the worse a look it is for him.
