Seahawks Star Russell Wilson Says Steph Curry Is The MVP

Warriors star Steph Curry is slowly building up his case to be the NBA’s MVP this season. As he carries the team on his back, sans his partner-in-crime Klay Thompson, fans are growing more and more convinced he deserves to win his third MVP this year.

Among the crowd clamoring for Curry to earn the honor is Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who issued the following Tweet:

Considering Russell and Steph are both citizens of the Northwest, it’s not surprising to see them united on this. Of course, his words come after Curry himself said he is the MVP.

No matter your feelings on Curry, or the other MVP contenders, the star guard certainly belongs in the conversation. With season averages of 31.4 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game on 49.1% shooting, he’s right up there with guys like James Harden and Nikola Jokic in terms of numbers.

Unfortunately, it’s the Warriors record that is really hindering his chances. As the 10th seed in the West, the Dubs have an uphill climb if they want to sneak into the postseason. Meanwhile, teams like the Nuggets and Nets are thriving despite several injuries to their roster.

Needless to say, some people still need convincing. And, with about a month left in the regular season, Curry is going to have to play lights out if he wants to lift that MVP trophy again.
