Shaq O’Neal Congratulates Nikola Jokic On MVP Award: “Because Of You, The Big Man Is Back.”

Nikola Jokic has recently become the first second-round pick to win the MVP award, and there’s no doubt that what Jokic has done for the Nuggets despite their injury woes is nothing short of spectacular. He has definitely had a statistical case for the award as well, averaging 26.4 PPG, 10.8 RPG, and 8.3 APG. He is the best passing center in the game right now.

Shaquille O’Neal himself had praise for Nikola Jokic after the latter won the MVP, and has said that because of Jokic, the big man position is back. There is no question that Jokic’s MVP is meaningful for big men in particular, as there hasn’t been a big man that has won the award since Shaquille O’Neal himself.

There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic is one of the best big men today, and his talent is unquestionable. Jokic can do everything on the court, and his vision rivals some of the best point guards that we see in the league today. Hopefully, we are able to see Nikola Jokic get even better, and witness his greatness for a very long time.
