Shaquille O’Neal Once Warned The Refs About What He’d Do To Dennis Rodman: “I’m Gonna Knock His Teeth Out His Mouth.”

2 Min Read

Shaquille O’Neal and Dennis Rodman always had tense interactions. They weren’t the best of friends at all and always tried to bring their best game to beat each other, even if that meant playing too physical against one another.

We all know that Rodman once had to be held by Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen or he would fight Shaq and get ejected from a game. There was always a rivalry between them, with Rodman claiming it was because he was the only one who could stop O’Neal

Well, it seems that there was more to that story that we didn’t know until now. Shaq recently opened up on his issues with the Worm and recalled how he used to warn refs about his payback to Dennis. When he was hit and didn’t get the call, Shaq used to take care of things and use his strength to take rivals down.

During a recent edition of The Big Podcast with Shaq, O’Neal said:

“I always used to tell them, I’m about to make you call a foul because the next move I’m gonna knock his teeth out his mouth. No seriously, I used to tell them, you allowed them to hit me and I can’t do nothing about it? Watch this next move.”

“And I get it and I try to swing my elbow and hey if you [player] get hit in the face, I already know you [ref] ain’t gonna do nothing about it. That’s what I did.”

It’s well known that there’s no love between these two. Shaq revealed that Rodman was his least favorite teammate of all time, while Dennis clowned him for the way he endorses products. These two have a big history and even now that they’re both retired and doing their things, nothing has changed.
