The Kevin Durant trade saga has swarmed the NBA world for more than a week now. Ever since the 2014 MVP demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, Twitter has exploded, with many fans and critics reacting to the forward wanting out.

While Durant’s move to the Nets was supposed to be the one where he solidified his legacy, it certainly hasn’t gone according to the forward’s plan. Despite KD’s best efforts, the Nets couldn’t find consistency, and with co-star Kyrie Irving often missing games due to injury or off-court issues, Brooklyn never reached their highest potential.

This led to disappointing performances in the post-season. While they looked promising in the 2021 playoffs, they eventually crashed out in the second round. That was also the farthest they went in the post-season in the Durant era. With chances of the Nets experiment looking grim, Durant understandably has demanded a trade. While pundits have had mixed reactions to KD’s request, one of them has been very critical of the move, Skip Bayless.

Bayless, who is well known for his bold takes, recently claimed that the Nets should hold on to both Durant and Kyrie. While KD did not react to the same, his brother left an interesting comment on the post.

“Uhhhhhhh Skip the hell with that and you”

Bayless, though, was pulling no punches and claimed that the 33-year-old is using his brother to clap back at his critics.

Hey, @KDTrey5, are you now using your brother to send messages for you? I said if I'm the Nets, I hold you to the FOUR YEARS left on your contract. Your brother responded hell with that and hell with me. That how you feel? Hell with FOUR MORE YEARS of the contract you signed?

While the Durant saga continues, Bayless will continue with his bold takes. But it will be interesting to see whether KD ever reacts to the veteran pundits takes. The forward is often known to be very vocal and even reacts to fan tweets as well.

Will we ever see the 2014 MVP confront Skip Bayless?
