The sports world is no stranger to strong opinions, and one of its most vocal figures, Skip Bayless, is pulling no punches when it comes to his thoughts on James Harden. “As most people know who watch the show, I am an NBA nut, and I am done with James Harden because he’s ruining the NBA for me.”

“So he quits his way out of Brooklyn, and now he will quit his way out of Philadelphia.”

“But he is so gifted. He is as supremely gifted a perimeter player as I have ever seen.”

Skip also hearkened back to Harden’s MVP year, acknowledging the player’s incredible skill set. However, he juxtaposed that against the current state of Harden’s career, lamenting the shift in public perception.

Skip cited Harden’s unprecedented ability to slither to the basket and his proficiency at drawing fouls but noted how referees’ attitudes have changed.

In the end, he conveyed his disappointment in Harden’s trajectory, emphasizing the player’s past achievements while critiquing his recent decisions and lackluster performance.

Multiple Teams Still Interested In James Harden

Despite the twists and turns in James Harden’s career, it seems that the intrigue around him is far from over. Recent reports reveal that multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Clippers, are still interested in trading for the Philadelphia 76ers star.

NBA insider Howard Beck has shared that there are at least three or four teams, with the Clippers among them, who have shown interest in acquiring Harden.

Harden’s desire for a trade has been evident, and while he initially expressed a preference for joining the Clippers, negotiations between Philadelphia and Los Angeles have hit a roadblock. The Sixers, upon Harden’s trade request, set a steep asking price, which no team has been willing to meet so far.

The drama surrounding Harden’s future with the Sixers has escalated, with reports suggesting that he will not participate in training camp if he remains with the team. This has further fueled speculation about his potential departure.

Despite the challenges and controversies that have surrounded Harden, his talent remains undeniable. His past achievements, including leading the league in assists and his incredible offensive capabilities, have kept multiple teams interested in his services.

The ongoing interest from multiple teams demonstrates that the Harden saga continues to be a focal point in the NBA landscape, showcasing the impact that star players can have on the league both on and off the court.

James Harden’s 2018 NBA MVP Season

James Harden’s 2018 NBA MVP season stands as a testament to his exceptional skill, dedication, and unparalleled offensive prowess. Harden’s performance during that year left an indelible mark on the league, solidifying his status as one of the premier players in NBA history.

Harden’s MVP campaign was characterized by his offensive brilliance, innovative playmaking, and scoring prowess. Leading the Houston Rockets, he orchestrated a high-octane offense that revolved around his unique playing style.

His signature step-back three-pointers became a staple of his game, leaving defenders baffled and fans in awe.

Throughout the 2017-2018 season, Harden’s statistics were nothing short of extraordinary. He averaged a staggering 30.4 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game. These numbers showcased his ability to dominate multiple facets of the game, not just scoring but also creating opportunities for his teammates.

One of the standout aspects of Harden’s MVP season was his triple-double performances. He recorded six triple-doubles during the season, highlighting his versatility and impact on the court beyond scoring.

This ability to contribute across various statistical categories further solidified his claim to the MVP award.

Harden’s leadership was also pivotal in guiding the Rockets to a franchise-record 65 wins that season, securing the top seed in the competitive Western Conference. His performances in crucial moments and his knack for delivering when it mattered most were emblematic of his MVP-caliber season.

Perhaps most remarkable was Harden’s consistency. He scored at least 30 points in 63 games, an astounding feat that underscored his scoring reliability. His offensive repertoire combined an explosive first step, an uncanny ability to draw fouls, and a keen basketball IQ that allowed him to exploit defensive weaknesses.

Despite all his troubles now, Harden still remains an elite player in the NBA. He may never reach his MVP form again, but he will continue to remain an all-star for a few years.
