Skip Bayless On Which Superstar He Would Rather Pick Between Kevin Durant And LeBron James Just For Next Season: “If You Gave Every GM The Option Of Kevin Durant Or LeBron James Just For Next Year… Every One Of Them… Would All Vote For KD.”

Speaking of the best players in the NBA over the last decade or so, most will pick LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Of course, Stephen Curry is in the discussion as well, but until recently, most used to skip his name in such discussions until recently.

Today our focus is on LeBron and Durant. It goes without saying that LBJ and KD are phenomenal players. But what if you were to choose one player from the two? Most likely, you will pick LeBron James.

He has an overall better resume than Durant and is in conversation about potentially dethroning Michael Jordan as the GOAT someday. How about we tweak the question a little bit? Which superstar would you pick between KD and LeBron, solely for next season?

While most might still name James as their pick, NBA analyst Skip Bayless has other thoughts. He believes due to the fact that Kevin Durant is younger than LeBron, he will pick KD. Additionally, he also mentioned that he is not alone with this choice. He revealed that if someone asked all the GMs in the league, they would agree with his answer.

All I know is if you gave every GM the option of Kevin Durant or LeBron James, just for next season. We’re talking about going into next year, regardless of whether he’s going to pass Kareem. This isn’t about box office, this is about winning basketball games. Every one of them, how many of them are there, 30? They would all vote for Kevin. He is four years younger than LeBron. He has played five fewer seasons because he missed a whole season because of his Achilles. Five fewer seasons, so he’s got much more tread on his tires, right.

Bayless’ co-host Shannon Sharpe pointed out that despite the fact that LeBron James is older than Kevin Durant, the latter has a history of getting injured. We saw that during his time with the Golden State Warriors, and of course, we have seen the same with the Brooklyn Nets.

Keeping that factor in mind, even though James is older than KD, he might still be the choice of most GMs, fans, and NBA experts going into the next year. He proved his talent in the 19th season of his career, and he will most likely do the same in the 20th season of his career as well.
